Check the saved configuration
- Confirm Floaty is active in WordPress.
- Enable at least one channel and enter its required contact detail.
- Save Changes and test an allowed page while signed out.
- Review desktop/mobile visibility, included or excluded page IDs and logged-in-only mode.
- Review the WordPress timezone, enabled days and current business-hour window.
Clear full-page, CDN and browser caches after changing these settings. A cached page can retain an earlier visibility decision.
Check the theme and page
Your theme must run WordPress's wp_footer hook. Use staging to compare a normal theme page with a custom landing-page template. Check whether an overlay covers Floaty; review position, offsets and Z-index against the actual conflicting element.
If scripts or styles fail, inspect the browser's public console/network messages without sharing authenticated cookies or private configuration. Temporarily compare optimisation/minification settings on staging to locate a conflict.
Keep a normal contact link available during investigation. When requesting help, include Floaty, WordPress and PHP versions, the affected public URL, device/viewport, relevant display rules and a screenshot. Do not send WordPress passwords or hosting credentials.
