Review the Analytics setting
Click counting is enabled by default in Floaty 1.0.0. Open Analytics and turn it off if you do not need counts.
When enabled, the plugin stores aggregate per-channel totals and daily counts in your WordPress database. The public click endpoint uses a short-lived salted identifier derived from the request IP and channel to limit repeated clicks. The frontend uses browser session storage for greeting and auto-open state. No external analytics service is loaded by the supplied plugin.
These are approximate click indicators. They do not confirm a completed message, answered call, sale or unique person. The implementation retains up to 90 recorded daily buckets; this is not a guaranteed rolling 90-calendar-day retention policy.
Reset or investigate counts
Use Reset analytics only when you intend to clear the saved counters. If counts are missing, confirm counting is enabled, the channel is enabled and your WordPress REST API is reachable. Rapid repeated clicks can be rate limited; concurrent traffic can also affect approximate totals.
Keep privacy information accurate
Reflect the settings you use in your site's privacy information. Your host may process request logs, and the contact service opened by a button has its own privacy policy. Do not describe the plugin as collecting no request information or guaranteeing anonymous conversion analytics.
