Review the order context
In Business, open the customer and order. Confirm the owning seller/storefront, selected products, term, currency, quantities and invoice. Manual staff orders and invoices require the same review of customer and permitted seller.
Issued invoices retain their financial and seller snapshots. Changing a product's current price or a brand's address does not rewrite previously issued documents. Keep currencies separate when reviewing reports and reconciliation.
Confirm payment through the intended route
Use the configured verified provider flow or the installed approved offline-payment process. Match the received amount, currency, reference and invoice before recording a manual receipt. Record only money actually received; a customer assertion, screenshot or browser return is not equivalent to settlement.
Do not bypass a pending or reviewed state by editing database rows. Refunds, credits and failed/uncertain payment outcomes need their own supported accounting workflow.
Follow delivery
Payment and fulfilment are distinct. Check the service's assigned provider and package, the durable operation state and any hold reason. An order can be paid yet remain held for ownership, cancellation, mapping or provider reconciliation.
If an external request is uncertain, inspect the provider's existing result before authorising another write. Preserve invoice and operation references so the original settlement and delivery chain stays traceable.
