Connection versus readiness
Open System → Hosting servers with integrations.manage. A passing cPanel connection test proves its stated read, not that every product is deliverable. Configure the exact HTTPS WHM origin, account/token and optional paired default nameservers. Both nameservers must be different valid hostnames, or both blank to retain supported imported defaults.
Validate packages
Use the connection's package-inventory validation action and acknowledgement. It reads the packages the credential can create and saves current evidence without changing products/orders. Stale or invalid inventory does not authorise a package merely because its name remains in a product field.
Map the product's provisioning configuration to an exact whm_package, or the documented connection default. Reseller hosting also requires the product type/configuration and connection's allow_reseller. The selected product must be active and supported. The core checks creatable packages again before account creation.
Nameserver planning
A domain purchased with hosting uses the selected server's intended nameservers. Standalone registration requires its own explicit list. Transfers preserve their existing delegation. Do not change domain nameservers solely to make an unrelated hosting package test pass.
Imported inventory
WHMCS server/group records are evidence for operator review, not verified active connection credentials. Imported package labels need actual server/account validation before native automatic delivery. Preserve the original imported mapping until reconciliation is reviewed.
Failure recovery
Package unavailable: verify spelling, reseller ownership/ACLs, current package state and the correct server. Existing account: read the reserved username/domain and correct mapping before another create. Credential-preparation or confirmation failure: preserve the encrypted vault, original APP_KEY and submission marker; do not regenerate the installation key or clear history. See cPanel module reference.
