Choose the business and issuer
Select the intended business. Confirm its issuing company, legal details, currency and invoice numbering before creating real documents. Add or review the customer in Customers & consultants and check the saved contact details.
Prepare a draft
Open Sales → Invoices and choose Create invoice if your role permits it. Select the intended customer and issuer, add the required line items, amounts, tax treatment and dates, and review the draft before taking the next action. Keep supporting evidence with the correct record where required.
Saving a draft while you prepare a document is different from issuing or posting it. Review totals, currency and numbering before submission. Use a synthetic customer and harmless test values for your first end-to-end run.
Follow the configured policy
Financial entries follow their saved transaction policy. Depending on that policy and your role, work appears in the relevant Approvals screens, including My submissions, Accountant review and Owner final review. Incoming-payment review and post-review questions have their own screens.
The System Administrator manages technical configuration; administrator access does not automatically satisfy operational financial approval. Use authorised financial accounts for their assigned businesses and payment accounts.
Continue the same record
Review the document's status and activity before sending, collecting or editing. Use the available request-for-change process where an approved record needs correction. Do not create a duplicate invoice to resolve an uncertain payment outcome; first reconcile the original payment.
