PHP and extensions
Use 64-bit PHP 8.2 or newer; PHP 8.4 is recommended in the current easy-install guide. Required extensions are PDO MySQL, OpenSSL, mbstring, cURL, fileinfo, GD, Zip, session, ctype, JSON, POSIX and Sodium. Use the same PHP version for the website and scheduled jobs.
Dedicated database
Create a new empty MySQL 8.0+ or MariaDB 10.6+ database using InnoDB and utf8mb4. The dedicated database user needs SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, CREATE, ALTER, INDEX and TRIGGER privileges on that database only. Setup creates posting guards as well as tables. Do not import SQL manually.
For a remote database, use the verified CA configuration described by the release. Do not disable certificate verification to make a connection work.
Document root and ownership
The release ZIP contains an enclosing multibrandaccounts/ folder. Extract it outside the public web root and point your HTTPS domain only at its public/ directory. Do not serve the complete application through public_html.
The application root, config/, storage/, install/, schema/, engine/ and modules/ must stay private. PHP must write private config/ and storage/; those directories use 0700 and generated private files use 0600. Run PHP and cron as the same Unix account. Do not use 777 permissions.
Licensing and preflight
Use a correct server clock and verified outbound HTTPS to https://license.emailaorbit.com/api/licensing/v1. First licensed installation also needs the SDK preparation kit, PHP 8.2+ CLI with cURL, JSON, POSIX and sodium, and a new absolute private directory outside the application and every web root. Use the same Unix user for preparation and web PHP. Arrange terminal access or host assistance, then configure its ORBIT_LICENSE_CONFIG path for web requests and scheduled jobs.
Run php bin/install.php --check from the private application directory if you have terminal access; the browser installer also checks prerequisites. Confirm the selected host and configured integrations with a controlled acceptance test before entering real financial data.
