Configure and test SMTP
Open Administration → General settings and find SMTP. Supply the server hostname, port, encryption mode, username, sender email and password from your email provider. A blank replacement password preserves the saved secret. Use STARTTLS or TLS from connection as required by that provider.
Save the settings and use Send test email with a mailbox you control. Confirm receipt, the sender identity and the spam folder before enabling routine sending. SMTP and payment gateways start unconfigured; a fresh install does not inherit another application's email connection.
Outgoing mail job
Use the site's PHP executable and Unix user. Replace both example paths:
*/5 * * * * /path/to/php /path/to/multibrandaccounts/bin/process-mail.php
Configure the job once. Review Sales → Email centre for message status and failures. If a delivery is marked uncertain, check provider or recipient logs before retrying; an ambiguous result can mean the first message was already accepted.
Payment-request reconciliation
Configured payment requests use a separate bounded worker:
*/5 * * * * /path/to/php /path/to/multibrandaccounts/modules/customer-payment-requests/bin/worker.php --run
This worker can contact real configured payment providers. Do not add duplicate jobs or run test copies against live providers. In hosting Cron Jobs, place schedule values in the scheduling controls and only the PHP command in its Command field.
The one-minute product licence check is separate. After a restore or move, review all jobs and pending work before allowing real mail or payment requests.
