Review the business setup
Use the locally signed-in owner to review Businesses and the available project and case templates. Use your own business details and logos. Template definitions belong to their selected business; check that selection before installing or adapting a process.
Add local people
Use Employees and the available people/team screens to manage native users and roles. Give a person the business and template assignments required for their work. A manager needs the appropriate business and active template assignment to create work; authoring a template does not itself grant access to other people's records.
Assign each work record
Project membership is explicit. Access to a business alone does not reveal all of its projects. Selecting a team copies the team's current members into the project; later team changes do not silently rewrite existing project membership. Review the members of existing work when someone joins or leaves.
Clients can see only shared information in their assigned projects. Review stage, task, table and file-category visibility before adding a client. Internal file categories can have additional team restrictions.
Verify with the intended user
Use a separate browser profile to confirm that a limited user can create or open the intended project or case and cannot access unrelated work or settings. Check archived work as well as current work. Review local passwords and active accounts when adopting a release on an existing installation; expiring a cookie does not invalidate an unchanged password.
